Bally Sports’ Challenges Have Benefited Radio Stations

There is bad news for MLB fans as Bally Sports is not going to air the MLB games this season because of the crackdown by multiple cable TV providers. Even though Bally Sports is showing many MLB games this season, but it is not allowed to broadcast some teams.

At the beginning of May, Bally Sports channels stopped airing on Comcast. This created trouble for MLB fans as they would not be able to watch their favorite teams on the screens. This decision by the cable TV providers will affect a great number of fans.

Increased Radio Listenership as Fans Seek Alternative Ways to Watch

Now the fans have to switch on their radios just to get updates on Major League Baseball season. The listenership of MLB games on the radio has recently boomed and the radio stations will be earning huge profits from their ad revenue and it will also boost their ratings.

The situation is especially tough for fans of the Minnesota Twins because their team has restricted broadcasting their games through the Bally Sports App. Actually, Bally Sports is dealing with serious financial issues and this is the main reason that a great number of fans will not be able to watch MLB games on their TV screens.

Expensive Alternatives and Bankruptcy Concerns Leave Fans with Limited Options

If they want to do so then have to get services from other operators like Fubo and DIRECTV STREAM and these services cost more than $70 per month. This service is costly and that is why many fans are turning to their radio as a cheaper and easier option.

Bally Sports is going through bankruptcy and later this month they have to appear in court to give a plan to get out of this situation, but if they fail to satisfy the judge with their plan then Bally Sports might have to shut down.

At this moment fans have just two available options, one is to buy expensive services and the other is to enjoy MLB season on radio.
