Say Goodbye to truTV as You Know It & Hello to the Ultimate Sports Destination

A New Era for truTV: Sports Takeover

Get ready, sports fans! Warner Bros. Discovery is flipping the script on truTV, transforming it into the go-to hub for all things sports. Starting this October, kiss those non-sports primetime shows goodbye because truTV is doubling down on sports, bringing you action-packed coverage every weeknight from 6 pm Eastern.

Unprecedented Sports Coverage

Brace yourselves for nearly 1,000 hours of adrenaline-pumping sports programming in 2024, with even bigger plans on the horizon for 2025. Whether you’re a NASCAR enthusiast, a MotoGP junkie, or an MMA aficionado, truTV has got you covered. And that’s just the beginning!

Must-See Lineup

Expect a stellar lineup featuring NASCAR practice and qualifying sessions, heart-pounding MotoGP races, and electrifying MMA events. But that’s not all – truTV is spicing things up with studio shows like the ever-entertaining TNT Sports Tonight and The Line. Plus, fans of competitive reality shows can still get their fix with the likes of Wipeout, along with a curated selection of sports movies, documentaries, and gripping scripted series.

TNT Sports: Leading the Charge

Craig Barry, Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer of TNT Sports, couldn’t be more pumped about the changes. “We’re ecstatic about the early success of the TNT Sports programming block on truTV. This fall, we’re supercharging our primetime lineup to make truTV the ultimate sports destination,” Barry exclaimed. “Think of it like Adult Swim taking over Cartoon Network at night – we want TNT Sports on truTV to be the place where sports fans can dive into premium sports content and find fresh, exciting ways to enjoy their favorite games.”

Power Plays in Sports Broadcasting

Warner Bros. Discovery isn’t just stopping at TV. They’re making power plays with new sporting rights deals, striking gold with college conferences to broadcast games across Max, truTV, TBS, and TNT. The latest game-changer? Big East men’s and women’s college basketball games are moving to these platforms, with 65 regular season games slated for the 2025–2026 season on Warner Bros. Discovery’s network and streaming on Max.

Expanding Football Coverage

But wait, there’s more! Warner Bros. Discovery has also teamed up with the Mountain West Conference to air 14 thrilling football games on Max and truTV. TNT Sports will produce an electrifying collection of Mountain West games, ensuring fans get their sports fix on the rebranded truTV and the Max streaming service.

The Future of truTV

In a world where live sports dominate TV viewership, Warner Bros. Discovery is betting big on sports to lead the charge. Get ready for a wild ride as truTV transforms into the ultimate sports playground. Stay tuned, because the game is just getting started!
